In order to prevent frustration heading into the upcoming Premier League season, Everton has reignited its interest in Ghanaian attacker Kamaldeen Sulemana.
Sulemana gave up on Everton, who were also interested, and completed a £22 million transfer to Southampton in January.
The 21-year-old had a sluggish start to the season with The Saints, but he concluded the campaign with an impressive brace against Liverpool on the last day, sparking a lot of attention from the teams.
As Southampton was relegated at the end of the season, his efforts with them were insufficient to maintain them in the Premier League. Although Sulemana has emphasised his wish to stay in the Premier League, he has left open the idea of leaving Southampton and maybe making a comeback.
While the Ghanaian only recently joined Southampton and has a contract there through the summer of 2027, it is not totally certain that he would leave Southampton before the current transfer season is up.
Everton and Sulemana have been connected recently, and there still seems to be a chance that a deal may be made this summer.
