The leading goal scorer of the current Chelsea squad, Tammy Abraham insists he won’t rush back from injury as he targets England’s March internationals for return to action.
He suffered the injury late in a game against Arsenal on January 21 but played with pain against Bayern Munich game at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old striker is yet to recover from from his injury and won’t be able to play against Everton on Sunday. Chelsea is hoping thier first choice striker will be fully fit to face Bayern Munich in the second leg-tie of the Champions League round 16 after he was handed a boost he will not require surgery from a specialist in Barcelona.
‘The club wanted me to go to Barcelona. They just wanted different eyes, a different mindset on this situation. He told me what was wrong, exactly what the Chelsea physios said and he recommended some stuff for me to do. I’m doing physio right now.
‘This time, I just said “I’ll just come back when I’m 100 per cent” instead of coming back and going again.’ Tammy said.
Abraham is also hopeful of being included in the England squad for games later in March.
