REJOINDER -NATIONAL ZONGO CAUCUS UNDERMINING GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL COORDINATOR

A member of the National Zongo Caucus working committee of the National Democratic Congress, Hon Hadji Mustapahar has responded to a press release by the Greater Accra Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator Hon. Ali Horoya with the headline “National Zongo Caucus undermining Greater Accra Regional Coordinator”.

In a rejoinder statement, released by Hon Hadji Mustapahar, he expressed his disappointment in the way Ali Horoya is taking things out of proportion and extending to the press in internal party matters.

He also advised the Zongo Caucus stay united, resilient and focused not to distroy the victory he is seeing coming ahead.

Borrowing words from Ex-President Kufour, he urged them to remember that it is better to be a messenger in a ruling government than to be a General Secretary in opposition.

REJOINDER -NATIONAL ZONGO CAUCUS UNDERMINING GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL COORDINATOR

Hon Hadji Mustapahar ✍🏽

The Greater Accra Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator Hon. Ali Horoya and others must know their limits. His legitimacy is not in question but he must know and understand that there are leaders and due processes in every Institution.

The National Zongo Caucus can not be seen to be undermining him and others in any way.

He was legitimately elected and sworn-in as the Regional Coordinator without any question but he is now pushing us to ask questions about his credibility in respect of the publication of the story with the headline “National Zongo Caucus undermining Greater Accra Regional Coordinator”.

We must not push for internal ranglings or in- house fighting, there are alot of questions begging for answers at the regional level.

I am very much disappointed in the way my brother Ali Horoya is taking things out of proportion and extending to the press in internal party matters.

Press releases would not help the cause of the party and I have ones proffered advice to him and the others about the way to go about any difference between the National and the Regional Zongo outfits, the need to meet with the national coordinator and resolve the differences for a cordial working relationship.

Press releases and rejoinders are not the best way to go and would only cause apathy and disaffection within our ranks.

Greater Accra Zongo caucus can not be superior over the National Zongo caucus and it is just a matter of understanding  the command structure and every grievance laid  before the appropriate quarters and not by press releases for settlement.

Hence, Horoya requires serious orientation to enable him to understand the limits of his powers or role as a regional coordinator.

My appeal to all comrades is that, I can see victory coming and we must stay united, resilient and focused not to distroy this opportunity.

Also, remember a quote by Ex-President Kufour that says that it is better to be a messenger in a ruling government than to be a General Secretary in opposition.

We are the only hope for this nation for now, let us not demonise ourselves.

Let us stand together as the victory of NDC is coming again.

A proud member of the National Zongo caucus working committee.
