A communication team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Eric Kweku Asamoah has called on the leadership of his party to do everything in their power to prevent the EC from compiling a new register.
In a statement issued by the communicator, he urged the leaders, not to ‘loss guard’, and even if they fail to stop the Electoral Commission, then the Ghana ID card shouldn’t be the primary or secondary identification document for the voter ID registration.

The leadership of the NDC should do everything in their power to prevent the EC from compiling a new register but if we fail to do so then the Ghana ID card shouldn’t be the primary or secondary identification document for the voter ID registration
My personal experience, observation and complains i have received from the grounds in western region is that, all registration centers are in the strongholds of the Npp and not a single center is in any NDC stronghold..This is an act by this gov’t to disenfranchise the NDC members in the western region from getting the card before compilation of the new register begins…
One thing we should also know is that western region is not like greater Accra…sometimes you need to travel for more than 2hours before you get to a nearby center to register not to talk about the queue…
I hope my party will take a clue from my observation
