The primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to elect parliamentary candidates for the upcoming general election has become very interesting as thirteen (13) women filed nomination to contest 44 men in the Greater Accra.

In a communique signed by Hon. Daniel Parker Odarlai France, the Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, at the close of nomination on Friday, 20th February 2020, 57 Aspirants filed their nominations to contest in various constituencies in Greater Accra.

Amongst the fifty seven members, thirteen (13) are females whiles the rest are males.

Speaking to SOKY NEWS Oheneba Kwabena Yeboah, Hon. Daniel Parker Odarlai France, the Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party confirmed that there will be no primaries in Ayawaso West Wuogon since Hon. Lydia Alhassan was elected through a by-election under years before these primaries, no one is allowed to contest her per the party’s constitution.
