VIDEO: The Akufo-Addo Administration is Turning The Clock of Time Backward – Jinapor

Akufo Addo is the Luckiest but worst Performing President in History – John Jinapor

Former Deputy Energy Minister, John Jinapor has said HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo will have his name penned in the history of Ghana as the most Luckiest but worst performing President.

Speaking at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Policy Dialogue Series on Ghana’s energy sector Mr. Jinapor said a solid foundation was laid by his predecessors but he is finding it difficult to lay the blocks even though the block, cement, sand, and water have been provided for him.

According to John Jinapor, the Akufo Addo led government has had more resources which they should have performed much better than his predecessors but they have performed poorly.

Comparing the Akufo Addo led government to the Mahama led government, the member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu Constituency said in revenue received from petroleum, Ex-President John Dramani Mahama’s government received GHS 6.4 billion in his four-year term whiles HE. Nana Akufo Addo will receive about GHS 20 billion by the end of this year.

In the energy sector levy which he said the NPP promised to scrab it off, he claimed Ex-President John Dramani Mahama’s government received GHS 3 billion in his four-year term whiles HE. Nana Akufo Addo will receive about GHS 12 billion by the end of this year.

Mr. John Jinapor continued to compare in the total revenue received by each government within its first three years in office, saying Ex-President John Dramani Mahama’s government received GHS 71 billion in his four-year term whiles HE. Nana Akufo Addo will receive about GHS 141 billion.

These records according to him show that, HE. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government has been very fortunate to get more resources than Ex-President John Dramani Mahama’s government but Ex-President Mahama performed very well in all the various sectors with the little he got as compared to that of HE. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government.
