The hair in the Bible, a scheme from the evil one – Opoku Onyinah

The immediate past Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah has described ‘the hair in the Bible’ as one of the schemes from the evil one to divert attention from the effective ways the nation is dealing with the pandemic.

On his Facebook wall, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah posted that just as Jesus was tested by Satan during his fasting, the evil one tested the nation with this ‘hair in the Bible’ scam.

“I was interviewed by one TV station about a girl who claimed, she received a revelation that the Lord has directed people to look through their Bible to find mysterious hair.

The hair was to be taken out of the Bible into a glass of water and drunk. The one who interviewed me said, according to the girl, the water would be a protection and healing from the coronavirus.

I was pleased to read two responses from two pastors, which did justice to the subject. Our culture is full of magico-religious acts.

This is one of them. I want to remind you all that after our Lord Jesus had fasted forty days and forty nights, the devil spoke to Him and tested Him (Matt 4:1-11).

Our Lord Jesus defeated Satan by the Word of God.

Once the whole nation has prayed, the devil will react. We must stand and not yield to the devil’s schemes.

The story needs to be considered as one of the schemes from the evil one to divert attention from the effective ways the nation is dealing with the pandemic” he posted.

After the Wednesday 25th March national fasting declared by the President of Ghana to cry on the Lord in this hard times of the pandemic Corona virus disease, there was a circulation of an information which they claimed to be a direction from God for his Children to look for some hair in the Bible and Q’uran.

The people were directed to put the hair in a glass of water, pray over it and drink it, which many Ghanaians did.
