Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Anthony Nsiah Asare, has urged Ghanaians to do away with misconceptions that contraceptives are for married women or old people only.
Speaking at the 2018 family planning media briefing at the Accra International Press Centre under the theme “family planning everyone’s responsibility”, Dr. Nsiah Asare said all individuals are eligible of controlling the number of children one has and the intervals between their births, particularly by means of contraceptive or voluntary sterilization.

He added that family planning is not only for pregnancy prevention rather, diseases as well and also support people living with infertility in their quest to have family.
