The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor and MP for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah has handed over a new Kindergarten (KG) Block to the Weija Presbyterian Basic School.
Speaking at the grand durbar organized to commission the block on Thursday, 14th January 2021 in the municipality, Hon. Patrick Kumor advised the school authorities of the Weija Presbyterian Basic School to have a culture of maintenance in order to keep the infrastructure in good shape at all times.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Former Deputy Minister for Health, Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah, in an interview, said the new block is the second one built in the municipality to aid the little ones.
She said education is very dear to her heart and would do all in her power to ensure that the children are taught in a conducive environment.
However, Nuumo Tetteyfio III, the Chief Priest of the Weija Traditional Council, thanked the MP, the MCE, and the Municipal Assembly for their efforts and asked for more developmental projects for the area.
In conclusion, the Municipal Director of Education, Charles Odoom thanked the Assembly and assured the MCE of their commitment to maintaining it.
