The Chief suspected to be involved in the killing of a female believed to be in her early twenties has been arrested.

The prime suspect, Nana Clark was smoked out of his hideout at Akwakrom in the Ekumfi District of the central region. Central regional correspondent, Akwasi Addo has more in the following report.

Nana Clark, the man believed to be the prime suspect behind the killing of Georgina Asor Botchwey and subsequently burying her in the Kitchen of his residential apartment at Sikafuambantem, a suburb of Mankesim has been arrested by the police. 

The suspect who is believed to be Tufuhene of Akwa Krom in Ekumfi after allegedly committing the act went into hiding after the police arrested a man of God who is linked to the crime.

A team of officers from the  Mankessim District Police Command carried out an that led to the arrest the prime suspect at Akwakrom and has since been transferred to the Regional Police Command in Cape Coast for further interrogations.

Central Regional Crime Officer Chief Superintendent David Gyabaa while confirming the arrest to the media pledged a full scale into the matter to ensure that the suspects and all other accomplices do not escape justice.

He however urged residents to volunteer information to help in combating crime in the area.
