YAW OSAFO MAFO

The Senior Presidential Advisor, Nana Yaw Osafo Mafo has expressed concerns over the rising youth unemployment across the African continent as he says it’s a major cause of Coup D’etat and Conflicts.

According to him, the rate at which unemployment issues keep increasing in the continent is a major problem that needs urgent attention and pragmatic solutions to curb the spate of increase.

The former Finance Minister was speaking at the Inter-Ministerial Consultation on the Implementation of the Country Structural Vulnerability Mitigation Strategy (CSVMS) in Ghana.

The meeting seeks to address challenges associated with conflict resolutions, youth unemployment, and security in Africa which has been the major cause of the series of Coup D’etat in the region.

Mr. Osafo called on the team to seriously consider the challenges of unemployment and the vulnerable in the continent as he says they should explore the policies and initiatives the government of Ghana has put in place to mitigate the rising unemployment in the country.

The National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaah on the other hand urged the technical team to also consider solutions that will deepen the democratic good governance in Africa’s sub-region which he says is the only way to nip the rising Coup D’etat and Conflicts.
