60 YEARS OLD NIGER BEGGAR ALLEGEDLY STABS 21 YEARS OLD GHANAIAN AT KASOA

The Kasoa District Police Command has arrested a sixty (60) year old man for allegedly stabbing a 21-year-old young man to death at Kasoa Zongo.

The suspect who is alleged to be a beggar from Niger who begs within Kasoa and it’s environed also stabbed two Ghanaian nationals who are currently receiving treatment from severe injuries.

Speaking to the press, Superintendent Samuel Odame, the Kasoa District Police Commander indicated that the suspect, Ibrahim Abdulah was also injured when he was arrested for allegedly stabbing Hamza Awal to death and injuring two others.

He added that once he is in Police’s custody, investigations will be conducted and processed to court to answer charges of murder.

He also advised the general public to always allow the police to do it’s work by enforcing the law.

This advised was in connection with the youth’s demand for the release of the suspect so they can avenge the death of their brother by killing him too which the police did not allow.

On her part, Madam Adoley Abossey the mother of 21-year-old Hamza Awal said she was surprised when she heard the news because she knew her only son is an innocent young man who does not involve himself in any form of criminalities that will lead to this kind of incident.

She, however, called on authorities to make sure that the individual who allegedly committed the crime is brought to book.

Narrating the incident to SOKY NEWS an eyewitness said there was a confrontation between the suspect Ibrahim Abdullah, and the young men including 21-year-old Hamza Awal which resulted in the death of Hamza and the others injured.

Meanwhile, Danjuma Abass an opinion leader at Kasoa Zongo has disclosed that they will liaise with the Nigerien Embassy to deal with the issue adding that if that fails they will resort to sacking Nigeriens in the area who are into begging since the Muslim tradition frowns on that.
