Unknown Men Attack Fulanis in Damango, 1 Feared Dead

The Fulani Youth Association in Damango is calling for Justice as some unknown men attacked some of their members at Kananto, a village close to Damango in the Savana region resulting in the death of their brother Yusif Abdulai, killing of their cattle and the destroying of their properties.

The Fulani Youth Association in Damango is calling for Justice as some unknown men attacked some of their members at Kananto, a village close to Damango in the Savana region resulting in the death of their brother Yusif Abdulai, killing of their cattle and the destroying of their properties.

Speaking to SOKY NEWS the Organizer of the association, Tabital Pulaaku Ahmed Barry said these unknown men attacked the cattlemen moving with the animals, shot one Yusif Abdulai who died on arrival at Tamale Teaching Hospital while other 4 people who sustained injuries during the gun Shots are also responding to treatment.

According to him, five cows were shot dead by these unknown men and subsequently took the meat away.

He added that at Busunu and Daboya a village called MOGNORE when a cattle herdsman Fuseini and farmer fought over cattle’s passing around his farm without destroying anything on the farm and later the farmer went home and mobilized his community and attacked the Fulani’s home burnt down 6 rooms, shot 17 cows dead and over 80 cattle’s left with gun wounds and destroyed 80 bags of maize and made away amount of Ghc 2,700 by the farmer and his folks.

Mr. Barry appealed to the police to do their investigations and bring the culprit to book because they are law-abiding and do not want to take the law into their own hands.
