The youth in Tain District in the Brong Ahafo Region has applauded the current government under the leadership of HE. Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo the commitment shown towards the development of their district.
With the help of the District Chief Executive, Lawyer Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh and the Member of Parliament, Mr. Osei Gabriel the district will now be benefiting from the Rural Telephony Project which was recently inaugurated by the President at Abenaso in the Eastern region of Ghana.
Speaking to SOKY NEWS, the leader of the youth, Mr. Bill Boampong Darlington expressed their gratitude to the President and the political leaders of the district by saying, “We the youth of the district can not keep mute on our gratefulness to the President,District Chief Executive and the Member of Parliament honoring us this way”.
“We believe that, the district is going to enjoy the full benefits that are associated with this project such as; improved communication among natives and families of this district, access to the internet and technology which has become the order of the day.
The students and teachers here can now do more research works which will help improve teaching and learning; unemployed youth can also find jobs such as the sale of credit cards, internet café operations and the likes which will go a long way to improve the economy of Ghana.
The communities in the district to benefit from this project which are; Namasa, Nsuhun, Donkorkrom and its surroundings will no more be called villages since it can do whatever the people in cities and towns can do.
We are therefore by this statement showing our greatest appreciation to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government through our hardworking District Chief Executive and the Member of Parliament for this project and as Oliver asked for more, we are also pleading with you to remember us in all things that will help develop this district to be like the municipals and metropolitans.
