The 2014 Miss Malaika Queen, Eirene Binabiba, has officially launched her long time dream foundation which seeks to focus on conducting sustainable development projects in deprived Communities to promote development and also tackle issues relating to women and children.

The 2014 Miss Malaika Queen, Eirene Binabiba, has officially launched her long time dream foundation which seeks to focus on conducting sustainable development projects in deprived Communities to promote development and also tackle issues relating to women and children.

The foundation which seeks to tackle issues by focusing on three(3) core project annually;

  1. The Leaseal Project(learn a skill; Earn a living); a women’s economic empowerment project,where resources persons and volunteers would equip the women in deprived Communities with entrepreneurial skills to encourage self dependency.
  2. The Cloth and Comm Project(Clothing and community); the project seeks to help provide clothing needs and basic amenities to deprived Communities.
  3. Notre futur(our future); will assist brilliant but needy children through school by offering them scholarships and creating mentorship programmes which would serve as step to help them realise their career goals and aspirations.

Speaking at the launch, the Ex-queen expressed the ENB foundation readiness to partner with companies, other NGO’s and sponsors that have similar concerns of conducting sustainable development projects in deprived Communities, to enable the foundation achieve their vision of being at the forefront of impact, empowerment and development globally.

The foundation currently has 25 volunteers all over greater Accra Region which keenly focus on conducting sustainable development projects in deprived Communities.

ENB foundation since 2015/2016, has undertaken a number of projects;the hand-wash campaign; where a number of schools were visited across greater Accra, to teach about 500 students from primary to JHS to inculcate the habit of washing their hands properly with soap and under running water, which helps in reducing cholera in the capital.

The Eirene Clothing project also donated clothing to about 100 head porters(kayayee) in Accra central, 150 in Saboba and 250 people in Azizakpe(an island near Ada).

“The ENB foundation undertook the projects listed above with a little to no form of funding,sponsorship, or even volunteers but believes with necessary support, sponsorship, partnership and funding, the foundation will be able to achieve it’s vision of being at the forefront of impact, empowerment and development globally ” she opined.
