Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Wendy Addo, known by stage name Wendy Shay, has disclosed it will be fulfilling for her to sit back and enjoy her own music later in life as a sexagenarian. 

Currently out with a new single titled “Stevie Wonder”, which features Shatta Wale, she said in a interview  with Giovanni Caleb on the 3FM Drive Monday that she is looking forward to such proud moments when her future family will appreciate the life she lived.

“I will play them for my kids and grandchildren, that way they will get to understand who I was and the life I lived,” she stated, looking into the future at age 60.

The Afro-pop diva also disclosed she was introduced to Bullet by one  Akwasi Ernest and got officially signed in March last year by Ruff Town Records.

The 23 year old “Uber Driver” hit maker mentioned her contributions to the creative writing of her songs.

“I’m a song writer too and I wrote some of the songs on the ‘Shay On You’ Album”, she disclosed.

Avoiding  questions that had to do with Shatta Wale’s newest viral video praising her, and whether they both are in a relationship, the “Queen of Shay Gang” , “Shay Movement” and “Shay Nation” rather mentioned her most expensive gift to her mother which is calling her “Mama Shay”.

She hinted she has plans of surprising her mum on Mother’s Day.

Wendy Shay asked her fans to rally behind her and cast their votes so she wins big at the 2019 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
