School authorities have ordered the immediate closure of the school. All students are expected to vacate the campus by 2 PM, Monday.

The students were protesting the acute water shortage and the unavailability of power supply in the school.

Luv FM’s Prince Appiah was at the school and reports that boarders have to walk long distances to fetch water from other sources every day before going for classes.

The protest resulted in damage to school property, including furniture, air conditioners at the school’s ICT Lab and the school bus.

The guidance and counselling office and the senior house master’s office were all ransacked by the angry students.

Authorities say the students will each be made to pay for the items destroyed during the protest.

Students are expected to report back to school on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
The students were called to an assembly and ordered to go home.
